A famous pianist travels to Florence invited by the Italian government and shortly after his concert he's hospitalized due to a rare viral disease. Struggling between life and death, there's a dialogue with the physician of the healing power of science and the fighting spirit of the patient. One night, in delirium caused by morphine, Z. hears a female voice that whispers: I don't want you to die.
